We decorated 139 bags!

About our project: We are an educational child care! We thought it would be great to do this activity as a whole school. The teachers in each classroom introduced the idea to their students and then worked together with them to create their "Save the Earth" bags! All the students were able to create their own, even the 1 and 2 year olds! This was a great way to introduce Earth Day and brought up good conversation in all the classrooms! Thank you for the opportunity.

About our project: This our second year participating. With all the materials online it makes it so easy to do. It also energizes our kids and informs our community on not only the importance of the day but on what we have been doing as well. Great project!

We decorated 72 bags!

About our project: As part of an Earth Day Party at Lake Harriet Community School in Minneapolis, one 2nd grade classroom took part in the Earth Day Groceries Project. We contacted our local co-op, The Linden Hills Co-op, who was very enthusiastic and excited about the project. They donated all of the paper grocery bags for the project and took part in a photo op when a group of children returned to the store with the decorated grocery bags. Tip: We printed out several Earth Day clip art images to help get the children's creative juices flowing. This really seemed to help. The class had a great time and are very excited to be part of such a wonderful world wide event!

We decorated 82 bags!

About our project: We are a small school with students facing various life challenges. Offering students the opportunity to practice giving to others helps them to look beyond their problems and know they can make a difference in their world. This is a simple project that gives us the chance to have a direct impact on our greater community. It was a great success for our kids!

We decorated 50 bags!

About our project: Hi, this was a lot of fun and my 4-H club liked this service project. I am glad we did it. Our bags look very nice and I think the customers will enjoy their bags. Also the manager at Village Market was very nice and friendly. So thank you Village Market for your help in this project. We had a blast!
