We decorated 25 bags!
About our project: Instead of the grocery bags, my class created bookmarks. With a delay in motor skills it was simpler for my kids to color in all the white in a smaller space of a bookmark. I find some free templates online I simply print out on cardstock then cut the bookmarks out. After the coloring was completed I laminated them and we passed them out at our school library.

We decorated 276 bags!
About our project: I am student teaching in 3rd grade next door to another student teacher in 3rd grade. We decided to do a unit on Earth Day. When we learned about the Earth Day Bag project we thought it was a great idea. Our local Albertson's was more than happy to oblige us with about 280 bags (way too many for the 3rd grade only). When we spread the word through the school about the extra bags other teachers were glad to participate. So we wound up with at least one class for each grade level to decorate bags. The children had a great time, and the bags came out beautiful!
