We decorated
340
bags!
About our project: Our school, Kincaid Elementary, partnered with Burger’s Open Air Market, a local, family owned market, to participate in the 2017 Earth Day Groceries Project. This was our first year participating so we borrowed the bags and set it up an optional project for the teachers to do with their classes for Earth Day. We were thrilled to see how many classes participated and how much they enjoyed the project! The artwork was really creative with great messages and the store loved the decorated bags!

About our project: Students from 1st, 2nd and 4th grade participated in the Earth Day Bag project as part of a month-long study of environmental education. Through our research, we are learning about protecting the environment, and we are seeing how technology can be used to connect us with other people around the world!

We decorated
1663
bags!
About our project: We enjoyed promoting Earth Day with the children in our Before & After School Program, Pryme Tyme. The children decorated the bags with crayons, paint, glitter, etc. and then we distributed those bags to four of our local Publix grocery stores. We also made contact with our local Farmer's Market and their vendors utilized the bags at the market to promote Earth Day too. This was a fun project for the children and it was good to see the thought that some of the children put into their bag's design. Thank you for such a wonderful project! The Publix store managers were made aware of this project through our efforts. We hope to continue this project from year to year.

We decorated
155
bags!
About our project: Dawnville Elementary School students had a great time in participating this year. This was the first year in many years that Dawnville participated in Earth Day Groceries Project. I felt that it was successful since we prepared weeks in advance. I had picked up the bags from the store in March which gave the teachers plenty of time to allow their students to participate. Hopefully, we will be doing this every year.
