We decorated 300 bags!

About our project: The students decorated 300 paper grocery bags. Each bag was decorated with markers, stickers and a tip on how customers could re-use the bag. The store passed the bags to customers as they purchased their groceries.

We decorated 60 bags!

About our project: The 7th and 8th graders had a great time designing their Earth Day bags. They were more inspired when I told them that Safeway would be using the bags for their customers (they thought it was really cool that someone would end up with their artwork and message). TIP: I had my students do a sketch of their design before I gave them the actual bag. This allowed them to think-through their message and I believe it avoided any potential disaters on the actual bags.
