We decorated 25 bags!
About our project: Instead of the grocery bags, my class created bookmarks. With a delay in motor skills it was simpler for my kids to color in all the white in a smaller space of a bookmark. I find some free templates online I simply print out on cardstock then cut the bookmarks out. After the coloring was completed I laminated them and we passed them out at our school library.

We decorated 238 bags!
About our project: We approached our local Sobeys supermarket who were more than happy to participate in this event. The kids had a lot of fun decorating the grocery bags and a couple went down to Sobeys to hand the bags back. They were very proud of what we had done. This was part of a week long series of activities that included a lights out day, a litter-less lunch, a playground clean-up, no paper day (only used paper allowed) and a lemonade stand that raised money for Ducks Unlimited, a wetland and wildlife conservation group in Alberta, Canada.

About our project: It was a fantastic way to connect our school with our community! We all had fun participating and some important learning about the environment and packaging was done! Thanks to my colleagues, the students and Co-Op for being so supportive!
