We decorated 423 bags!

About our project: We had enthusiastic participation from students and staff at school. Our librarian stepped in also in guiding the students with the project. Feedback from the store was very positive. Staff enjoyed previewing the artwork and did a good job of explaining the project to customers. Some customers have reused the bags as they have returned to the store to shop.

We decorated 300 bags!

About our project: Our troop of 3rd year Junior Girl Scouts (6th grade) chose to do the Earth Day Grocery Bag project as part of earning their Eco-Action badge. We borrowed 300 bags from our local IGA in Keizer & each girl decorated between 10 - 70 bags until we had them all completed. Our girls were very proud of participating in this project!! Thank you for the wonderful idea. We plan to do it again next year :)

We decorated 90 bags!

About our project: This was an amazing project! The kids were so excited. They worked really hard on the bags, and created posters on their own time - taping them up throughout the whole school. We all made a "Happy Birthday Mother Earth" poster, and all the third graders at Bridlemile signed it. New Seasons Market hung up all our posters throughout their store, and used our bags on April 22nd. The staff at New Seasons were very supportive, and appreciated all the effort. Thank you New Seasons, and thank you Earth Day Bags.Org for this AWESOME experience!

We decorated 155 bags!

About our project: This was our first year with the project - and we have completely enjoyed it! Six kindergarten classes, one first grade and one fifth grade participated this year. We are hoping to make it a school-wide project next year. Both students and staff had nothing but good things to say about it. We are planning on getting an earlier start next year, as our grocer, New Seasons Market, has offered to give us blank paper bags to decorate... meaning more room for coloring! Thanks again to New Seasons for being so easy to work with. What a great Earth Day idea!
