We decorated 500 bags!

About our project: The children really enjoyed doing this. We used it as a culminating activity after a unit on pollution. We brainstormed slogans and key facts from what we learned and used the list to decorate our bags. The store made a display in the entrance way and displayed the bags at the cash register. Sobeys only had the smaller sized bags available, but that didn't matter, the kids loved the activity. Next time I might send along a little information card for the people at the cash register -- some knew what was going on, but others didn't. It would help fill in some of the gaps. All in all it was great for the kids.
