We decorated 500 bags!

About our project: I'm a Girl Scout trying to earn my Bronze Award. I asked Mr. Casassa who works at Market Basket if they they would sponsor me and they donated 500 bags. I wrote a letter to Preschool through fourth grade teachers and asked if their class could decorate bags. Then I collected all 500 bags and returned them to Market Basket to be passed out on April 22, 2006. This project was a lot of fun. Stephanie McDonald

We decorated 22 bags!

About our project: I was doing a lesson on Earth Day and I came across this website. I introduced the topic of Earth Day and recycling to my students. They loved the project, and Hannaford was excellent as far as letting me hang the bags in the store to let others see them, and also for donating the bags.

We decorated 450 bags!

About our project: Children decorated grocery bags as part of our Earth Day "week" of activities.
