We decorated 200
bags!
About our project: We coordinated this project with the art and computer classes. The art teacher has more variety of art material obviously. The computer room only has crayons. We started with plenty of time. borrowed 200 that is how many come in a batch. Worked well. Reported back to the store they distributed on Saturday but it rained so that customers prefered plastic so the store continued on Monday. We are still waiting to see if we get our picture in the local newspaper.

We decorated 50
bags!
About our project: Stop and Shop had never heard of the program, but was willing to participate. We decorated only about 50 bags, but the girls were very enthusiastic! It was a great way to get them involved in Earth Day, at a level they could understand! Can't wait to participate again next year!

We decorated 500
bags!
About our project: This was such an easy fun project that the kids really enjoyed. We also enjoyed hearing stories of people who went shopping and had their groceries put in a bag made by a friend or classmate. It is often hard to find meaningful outreach projects that very young children can get directly involved in. This project was such a great opportunity for the children to share their Earth Day message with the members of their community.
