We decorated 391
bags!
About our project: This is my seventh year participating in this project. We have decorated 391 bags! I am really proud of the kids in our school. The manager at Loblaws Grocery Store knew we were coming to get our bags and told us how the customers appreciated that the kids cared about the environment. We made two banners and four posters this year. One banner was posted at Loblaws Grocery Store, along with two posters. The other banner stayed in our school, as well as two posters. We would like to send many thanks to Loblaws Grocery Store who ordered extra bags for us! We were also invited by our Municipality to present our special project to the community. Thank you for keeping this project alive.

We decorated 230
bags!
About our project: This is the second year that Loblaws and our school have collaborated on this Earth Day project. (We have worked with other stores in the past.) When I went to the store to pick up the bags, the assistant manager was very excited. She said that last year the customers had very positive comments and some even brought their bags back two or three times. Of course, our students put a great deal of thought and hard work into their art, even knowing that it will be given away to a stranger. The entire project spotlights the day and our school as we reach out into the community. Since we are the only English school in town, many of the messages are bilingual - English and French. This ia a positive and enriching experience all around.

We decorated 540
bags!
About our project: What a celebration at St. Jude School! Our students from pre-kindergarten to grade 6 decorated 540 grocery bags with wonderful enviromental messages in French and in English. This project was done in cooperation with Metro Plus - Marche Bellemare at 2121 Boul. Lapinere in Brossard, Quebec. Our students are making a great effort to inform others about the importance of being good environmental citizens. Together we can make a difference.
