bags!
About our project: Each month, Jane Addams School for Democracy - Children's Circle explore activities and arts & crafts projects through a new theme. Our theme for April was "Environmental Awareness." As part of the arts & crafts projects, a total of twenty children, youth and staff educated and shared stories with each other in how to reuse, reduce and recycle materials prior to decorating the grocery bags for Earth Day. We decorated a total of 71 grocery bags from Rainbow Foods - Midway, St. Paul, MN. Woo-Hoo! The children, youth and staff were very creative and had a lot of fun!

We decorated 40
bags!
About our project: Wolf Cubs from Pack 62 were working towards a goal to receive the "World Conservation" patch. The week leading up to Earthday was to focus on recycling and what effects it has to our environment. Earth Day Groceries Project was a way for the kids to show what they learned and pass it onto others. This was our first year and the kids had a great time decorating the bags. I plan on continuing this project and hope to invlove the local school as well. We look forward to next year.
