We decorated 300 bags!

About our project: A few days before Earth Day, the students decorated the grocery bags. We then had a contest to decide which threee bags were the most creative. It was a tough decision!

Look at our pictures!

We decorated 1200 bags!

About our project: Our students were very excited to participate in this project. We were all surprised how quickly our bags disappeared from the store. Next year we will ask for and decorate more bags.

We decorated 155 bags!

About our project: St. Hugh Catholic School celebrated Earth Day by participating in the paper grocery bags project. Our local grocery store, Publix, donated the bags. The children from Pre-k 3 through 2nd grade decorated these bags with Earth Day ideas such as recycle, reuse, reduce and others. We then sent the decorated bags back to Publix. They distributed the customers groceries inside our St. Hugh Earth day bags. This was the first year that St. Hugh took part of this project. It was a fun and exciting project for the children. We plan to do this project again next year.
