About our project: We developed a partnership with Krogers. Students in the first grade , 280, decorated the paper bags with environmental messages and recycling pictures and or ideas. On Earth Day the bags were used by our Krogers, they did not use plastic bags during this day. Our bag project was one event in a week long Earth Day celebration. During 2003 we hope to increase our number of bags and invite other stores to take part.

About our project: Our students decorated over 300 bags, and they were distributed to local businesses. These businesses were happy to participate in Earth Day by using the colorful bags. Our students enjoyed decorating and adding ways to protect the earth on each bag. This was our first year to participate in this project, and we hope to do it again next year.

About our project: This is the third year that we have decorated bags for Earth Day. It is part of our week long celebration of Earth Day. The manager of IGA SuperValu has said that the response from shoppers has been wonderful. They look forward to each year getting the bags.

About our project: We enlisted the aid of the Art teacher at our Elementary school and the children will be decorating the bags with slogans and picture promoting environmental awareness. We will be returning the bags to the store and they will be given out with purchases on Earth Day. We are also doing several other activities for Earth Day at our school.
