We decorated 450
bags!
About our project: This project was the kick off for our annual, school wide science fair. Our theme this year was: Earth. . . It's In Our Hands. Our students enjoyed decorating the bags and we were all very impressed with the environmental concerns they conveyed to the public through their messages and illustrations. It was great! Thanks!

We decorated 55
bags!
About our project: The sixth grade Social Studies classes completed an Earth Day unit during the month of April. Topics covered were the history of Earth Day, recycling, reducing, and reusing. Students decorated 55 grocery bags for our local Dillon's store. On Earth Day, we spent our Social Studies class periods picking up trash on school grounds. It was a beautiful spring day to be outside! The students had a great time with this activity.

We decorated 400
bags!
About our project: Five Science classes (Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Agricultural Science) participated in the event. All students completed at least one bag with an environmental theme. The bags were entered into a contest and judged for creativity, environmental conscientousness, and neatness and professionalism. The bags were delivered to Apple Market to be used on Earth Day and the following week. Students really enjoyed participating in this project!!
