About our project: This effort was coordinated by Mike Saimond, the town science committee chair. Each elementary pupil was asked to decorate one bag. Some did more than one. All schools in town participated. The children really enjoyed the project.

About our project: We celebrate the care of the Earth for a week in April that is around Earth Day. Each day has a special activity that every class in the school participates in. Tuesday of the week is the day that the students decorate the bags for the grocery store. Parents and community members look forward to the interesting artwork as well as the messages that are written on the bags.

About our project: This was Franklin School's first year decorating bags for Earth Day. Classes from kindergarten to sixth grade joined in to design the bags. Our students participated in other related activities including cleaning up the school grounds. We plan to expand the project next year. Thanks for the great oppurtunity!
