We decorated 40 bags!

About our project: Upon being notified via one of your earthday-bag posters, we PEA thought of participating in this 4-step worthy cause. As mentioned in your poster, we were able of borrowing some 50 grocery bags from Chamara Grocery located in Piliyandala area. Thus we, since our association consisted of 35 members, painted and decorated those bags, to be distributed on the very Earthday 22nd of April 2006. We illustrated them with varying beautifications within about 4-5 hours. Then on next very week, we handed those colourful grocery bags over to the manager of Chamara Grocery. As the very day approached we were very proud and glad upon seeing customers carrying their goodies with decorative EARTHDAY BAGS, which were beautified by us, ourselves. After the project came to a grand success, we were praised and appreciated by citizens of Piliyandala and the manager, himself on behalf of the worthy deed done. Therefore we would like to extend our gratitude to the organization of EARTHDAY BAGS and its staff.
