About our project: EARTH DAY At the beginning there was only a burning hot sphere. It was glowing and sparking. It developed 4.6 billion years ago. First it was a ball of liquid stones, but as its surface had been cooling down slowly, a hard core developed. Today we call it the earth or the soil. The features of the Earth and the climate have been changing throughout millions of years. 3.8 billion years ago, the hot Earth was covered with clouds of steam and gases. 280 million years ago dinosaurs have lived on the Earth. Several million years ago, a meteor fell down on the Earth and everything, living or dead, disappeared. God created life on the Earth. There are plants and animals all over the world today. He created people too. Nowadays, we live on six continents and the seventh is uninhabited. There is a lot of water on the Earth ( 71%), and a little bit of land ( 29%). Over six billion people live on the Earth today. Everybody is polluting the environment and in this way we are destroying the Earth that is necessary for our lives. Water gets polluted most, but animals and plants are polluted too. I think that we shouldn’t pollute the environment because that is not the way we found it, and because our descendants will also need the Earth in a couple of hundreds of years.
