About our project: This is Oak Grove's second year participating in the Earth Day Goceries Project. We kicked off the event with a school-wide viewing of "The Lorax" (based on Dr. Suess' book about perserving the planet) complete with popcorn that was distributed in reusable bowls that the students brought in for the event.

About our project: This is the first year we've participated and the kids loved it! The bags were beautiful and really demonstrated that our students are understanding and internalizing the importance of a healthy, green planet.

About our project: After a 2 week unit of reduce, reuse, recycle we tied up it up with a celebration of Earth Day! 4 Kindergarten classes wore all green and worked hard to put their earth day messages onto grocery bags. Today, 2 of the classes walked all the way to Shelburne Supermarket to deliver the bags!!!! It was exciting for the children and an adventure they will never forget.
