We decorated 60 bags!

About our project: This is our first year open as a public charter school. Although we are small in numbers, we have a very strong and successful community of learners. Each month we try to participate in a service learning project This project easily fit into our environmental curriculum for the month of April. Everyone had a fun learning experience with the Earth Day bags.

We decorated 76 bags!

About our project: I was looking for ideas for Earth day and I came across your website. I thought that borrowing bags and delivering them back was a great idea to spread the "Happy Earth Day" spirit. The kids had lot-o-fun decorating and coming up with phrases to put on the bags. Pick'N Save was generous enough to participate.

We decorated 36 bags!

About our project: Notre Dame has been participating in the Earth Day Groceries Project for three years. We kick off the project in the computer lab by visiting your site to learn more about Earth Day and how the project works. After we have looked at bags from others schools, we begin drawing our ideas for our bags with Kidpix software. Second grade also visits other interactive websites to discover the importance of Earth Day. Thanks for a great community awareness project and an engaging way to incorporte technology. Our students are so proud of their bags. Thanks Piggly Wiggly for your support.

We decorated 500 bags!

About our project: We started the groceries project four years ago. THe students each year are excited to start the project and find more and more catchy slogens. I use it as a homework grade in class and find that way the students spend much more quality time on the bags. I can't believe how on task they are,how much fun it is, and how much they learn by doing. What a great project.
