We decorated 373 bags!

About our project: Since the large supermarkets here no longer use paper bags, we created bookmarks. The students loved the notion that they or one of their neighbours may actually receive theirs or a friend's completed bookmark. All the students gave their best efforts and created both imagery and text that gave voice to their own beliefs. Since we were the host class, my own students enjoyed the opportunity to count and maintain a cumulative record of return. We hope to be able to "work a deal" for next year to do grocery bags. Thanks for the direction, inspiration, and motivation.
