We decorated 1250 bags!

About our project: The kids really enjoyed painting the bags. We had parents who wanted to participate, too. We went to the supermarket on Sunday the 29th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We gave away bookmarks with advice on how to take care of our planet. The customers were interviewed on the importance of recycling. Some of them will bring the recycling material to our school. The kids helped packing the merchandise using the decorated paper bags and they explained to the customers about our project and the effects of global warming. One of the customers offered one student $100 to support the school recycling program. Another person offered a field trip to a recycling plant in Cartago. This experience was very educative, for our students and for the adults visiting the supermarket that morning. Thank you for the idea!
