Rules of the Road for Tic-Tech (as of March 1, 2000)
These guidelines are posted on the first of every month. They may change
from month to month, so please save the current copy for future reference.
If you have suggestions for changes or additions to this document, please
let me know - or post them to the list for discussion.
General information:
Tic-Tech is meant to be a forum for discussion and sharing of technology
related education issues in Seattle - and beyond. This is a broad
description and means that issues discussed may be wide ranging.
Tic-Tech is a moderated list. That is, messages submitted to the list
must be approved by the moderator before they are distributed to list
members.
Posting and replying guidelines:
1. Write your name and email address at the end of your message. Not all
mail programs clearly indicate who a message is from.
2. When replying to someone's message, include enough of the original
message so people will know exactly what you're responding to. Also
remember to include your name and email address at the end of your
response.
3. Not allowed: attachments, html encoded messages, commercial
advertisements, profanity, political agendas, flames, personal attacks,
etc. None of the above will be approved for distribution by the moderator.
Responsibilities:
This is important. Information is precious. Share information. We are
all responsible. If you receive information related to technology in
Seattle and do not see it appear on Tic-Tech, forward it to the list.
If you come across something Seattle educators should know about, send
it to the list. If you have feelings about something you read on
tic-tech, reply to the list. If you have questions about technology or
technology in education, post to the list. If you have something to
crow about, something to share etc., please send it on to Tic-Tech.
This could go on....
Posting to the list:
