About our project: The students of Alexander School once again participated in the Earth Day Grocery Bag activity and decorated 530 Earth Day Bags with many Earth Day messages and excellent drawings. This was a school project in which students from JK to grade 8 participated. Our sponsoring store is Sobey's and they look forward to doing this activity with our school and the community enjoys receiving their earth day bag with their groceries. Once again we started decorating our bags early.  It is good to start early and have them ready for the store the week before.   Our school and Sobey's love participating in this activity.   The students enjoy making the Earth Day Bags and  they show how very creative they are with their artwork and messages. Through Earth Day Grocery bags we are able to get the message across to the community that Earth Day is not only on April 22nd but it is Everyday and that we need to take care of our Earth now.
