Thanks to your website, the students had an opportunity to learn more and
take part in Earth Day 2006. The 3rd Grade students at the Mt. Vernon 
Primary Center decorated 200 grocery bags for the Kroger store in Mt.
Vernon, IL. A group of seven students (one from each of the seven
classrooms) returned the decorated bags to Kroger, and were greeted with
smiles and treats from the Kroger managers. Thank you to Kroger for
allowing us to participate in this celebration.
